Kenya Nyamweya prevails upon Shabana FC chairman Nivaton for urgent crisis meeting

Shabana FC Patron Sam Nyamweya has stressed his call for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF)) club to convene an urgent crisis meeting to discuss their poor performances in the Premier League.

A week ago, Nyamweya hinted at convening an urgent crisis meeting in a move aimed at helping the Kisii-based Glamour Boys win their remaining matches and keep their status in the top flight.

Nyamweya has now engaged club chairman Jared Nivaton and prevailed upon him to take the meeting issue as a matter of urgency before matters get out of hand.

“We seem to be having a crisis in Shabana as you are aware, due to the poor performance of the team which if no action is taken will have the team relegated,” read part of Nyamweya’s statement sent to all club officials, adding: “You are also aware that we had a management meeting late last year which you attended and agreed on the way forward to support the team.

“As a follow up, I request for an urgent meeting tomorrow Wednesday 21st February 2024 at 4:00pm at Hill Park Hotel.Kindly but urgently ask the management to attend so that we can avert this situation which is not welcomed by our fans. Your quickest action on this urgent matter will be highly appreciated.”

Shabana are currently sitting second from the bottom of the 18-team table with 18 points, three less than Kariobangi Sharks, who are place above them in the safety slot. They have only managed four wins, suffered 12 defeats and picked six draws.
