Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah and new Egypt boss Hossam Hassan are reportedly not talking to each other since the apointment of the latter as Rui Vitoria replacement, but there is no issue between them, a source said.

The 30-year old left Pharaohs during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast due to an injury to get a better treatment with his club in Liverpool.

However, Mo Salah is yet to come back to fitness even though he is making progress in his recovery.

But some reports are claiming that he could feature against Manchester City next Sunday but not be allowed to join his national team for this month’s international break with Pharaohs taking on New Zealand.

“The Egyptian national team, led by Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, can’t communicate with Mohamed Salah so far,” EFA board member Ehab El-Komy said.

“So far, there hasn’t been any meeting between Hossam Hassan and Mohamed Salah, but there is no dispute between the two parties.

“The relationship between the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi and Mohamed Salah is excellent.

“There is an agreement between the EFA and him to work on resolving any issues related to the national team,” El-Komy explained.
