Simba SC suffered their second Tanzanian Premier League defeat of the season after succumbing to a 2-1 loss against Tanzania Prisons at Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro on Wednesday.
A brace from Samson Mbangula, who scored in each half, gave Tanzania Prisons a two-goal lead. However, in the 89th minute, Fabrice Ngoma pulled one goal back from a corner kick, but it was not enough to save the sinking ship.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Mussa Haji received a second yellow card in the 87th minute. Simba remained third on the log with 36 points from 16 matches, while Tanzania Prisons stayed fourth with 27 points in 19 games.
