Friendly Finidi Says Super Eagles Aware Of Stake Against Ghana

The Super Eagles’ players are aware of the stakes in Friday’s friendly matchup against the Ghanaian Black Stars, according to interim coach Finidi George.

After the squad’s last practice on Thursday, Finidi remarked, “The team is prepared, they know what is at stake, that rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana is always there and that is an extra motivation for the players.”

“We just want to have a good game and hopefully win. The players are ready and aware of what is at stake. We are ready to go.”

The former Nigerian international commented, “We are not changing much (tactics), just adding a little bit of few elements that we think would help the players,” regarding the tactical approach to the game.

“We’ll be extremely strategic and try to win the ball as soon as we can.”

Following their friendly match against Ghana on Friday, the Eagles will play another friendly match on Tuesday, March 26.
