Germany Nagelsmann heaps praise on Toni Kroos for triumphant return against France

Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise talking about Toni Kroos who put donw a masterclass during the 2-0 win over France on Saturday for his first game since returning to the national team.

The Real Madrid midfielder retired from German national team in 2021 when he was only 31 but having the World Cup in 2014.

He came out of his retirement when Julian Nagelsmann asked him to do so as Germany wants a more competitive team for the Euros they will host from June 14 to July 14.

And he proved his coach right with an assist inside 7 seconds against Kylian Mbappe’s France and playing a important role all along the game.

“ [Toni has been] Unbelievable, to be honest”., Nagelsmann said in post-match press conference.

“With the ball, we all know that he is an extraordinary player. But also how he got involved in duels.

“He’s quite a normal guy and integrates into the group. That’s very good”.

Germany face off with Netherlands on Tuesday (19:45 GMT) in Frankfurt for their last friendly this month.
