Nigerian Players abroad Moffi 50th Ligue 1 Goal Not Enough As Nice Loss To Nantes

The Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi scored, but Nice’s Ligue 1 match against Nantes ended in a 2-1 loss.

The Nigerian international, making his 22nd appearance, tied the score against Nantes with his ninth league goal of the year after the visitors had taken the lead in the 19th minute through Matthis Abline.

To the joy of the home crowd, Moffi took the penalty with composure.

But in the 76th minute, Mostafa Mohamed of Nantes—who were without Super Eagles star Simon Moses—scored the game’s winning goal.

Nice now sits fifth with 43 points after the win, while Nantes is in 14th place with 28 points.
