UEFA Champions League UCL Final: Terzic Not Confident Of Stunning Madrid

Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzic feels “anything is possible” as his team prepares to upset Real Madrid in Saturday’s Champions League final at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The star-studded Spanish powers are heavy favourites to win the European Championship for the 15th time, and sixth in the last 11 seasons, against a Dortmund side that has defied the odds simply to reach the English city.

Madrid has only lost twice in 54 games in all competitions this season, winning LaLiga by ten points and defeating Barcelona 4-1 to win the Spanish Super Cup.

However, they had to dig deep once more to advance to what coach Carlo Ancelotti termed as the “biggest game of any season” in the Champions League.

Ancelotti’s men weathered a barrage from defending champions Manchester City to win their quarterfinal tie on penalties, followed by another legendary late comeback at the Santiago Bernabeu to defeat Bayern Munich in the last four.

Uefa will be hoping that the focus moves back to the players on the pitch, ensuring that their decision to return to Wembley Stadium for a big final is not questioned.

Three years ago, violence broke out at the Euro 2020 final as ticketless fans attacked the stadium doors to gain access.

The English Football Association has invested £5 million ($6 million) to strengthen the safety and infrastructure of Wembley Stadium, which will also host the Euro 2028 Final.
