Two neighbors, South Africa and Zambia will go head to head for a stake in the final of the WAFCON 2022 when they clash in the first semi-finals of the ongoing WAFCON 2022 in Casablanca.
Both teams are focused in reaching the final having already qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be hosted in Australia and New Zealand.

In contrast to the SASOL-sponsored Banyana Banyana, who will be competing in the competition for the second time in a row, Zambia qualified for the World Cup for the first time ever.
The Copper Queens thrashed Ellis’ team 3-0 in their last encounter in February 2022 during an international friendly game, with goals from Barbra Banda (2 goals) and Avell Chitundu.
However, Banyana will be hoping that Tokyo Olympic hero Banda’s noticeable absence on Monday will work in their favor.
