Zambian midfielder Evarine Susan Katongo says their WAFCON (Women’s Africa Cup of Nations) 2022 semi-final clash against South Africa on Monday evening will not be an easy one.

The semi-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will start on Monday with South Africa’s Banyana Banyana taking on the Copper Queens of Zambia.

Bruce Mwape’s girls had to go to the penalties before getting rid of Senegal’s Lionesses in the quarter-finals (1-1, 4-2).

Meanwhile, Desiree Ellis’ girls who won all of their group stages game knocked out Tunisia thanks to Jermaine Seoposenwe’s first half goal.

Now both teams will face off at Stade Mohammed V tomorrow to determine who makes it to the WAFCON 2022 final.

Speaking ahead of the game, Copper Queens midfielder Evarine Susan Katongo says it won’t be easy for her and her teammates.

“The game against South Africa will not be easy. It will be tough because both of us want to go to the final”, Katongo told FAZ TV.

“We just have to take it seriously put in a lot of effort and probably win the game“, she added.

Zambia vs South Africa game is scheduled to start at 17:00 GMT.
