The dams’ draw of World Cup qualifying 2014 took place on Monday in the Cairo headquarters of CAF. In the conference room of the continental institution, the absence of delegations from Senegal and Nigeria has not gone unnoticed.
This is also the point made by Junior Binyam, the new media director of CAF. “Senegal and Nigeria are the only countries not represented in the room. Presence managers from Egypt, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia “, tweeted the Cameroonian during the draw.
This did not however prevent the draw to be unfolded. Senegal therefore has an opponent more or less scaring like Côte d’Ivoire, while Nigeria seems better served with Ethiopia.
