Africa Soccer Christian Mayo: Cameroon player collapsed alone on the pitch

Christian Mayo

While Zambia dominated (2-0) Cameroon on behalf of the preparatory tournament of CHAN, Indomitable Lions’ Christian Mayo collapsed alone on the ground.

The player suffered a heart attack in the middle of the game.

He was rescued in-extremis by a medical team and transported to hospital.

This player experienced the same problems when he played for Boca Junior in Argentina in 2018. A situation which forced the South American club to break his contract. Mayo decided to join his country Cameroon.

Probably the tournament and perhaps his career will come to an end as a result of this unfortunate event.

Zambia’s two goals were scored by Sikombe (46th) and zachariah chilonkosah (59th).

“In fact I had a successful adventure with Boca Junior and for reasons that many know (heart attack) I had to terminate my contract there. It had been said that I had heart problems, so I quit.” Christian Mayo told the media recently.

“Subsequently, the club offered me a lot of things but I did not accept, because for the youngster that I am, the desire is to play.
Thank God I recovered from what was being said and chose to trust Bamboutos from Mbouda.
