Ethiopia was the unfortunate side when they lost to ‘struggling’ Nigeria by 2 goals to nil; both goals were from penalty kicks.
The game which began on a rather low key grew in agility, speed and fierce saw both teams doing their best to make a mark. Nigeria who seems favorites in the game did not do very much to the expectation of fans as they struggled to get shots at goals.
Ethiopia on the other side who were very much on the verge of exiting the competition did not hold back as they pushed on to get a few goals against Nigeria, all in efforts that proved futile.
In the dying minutes of the game, Nigeria got to convert two penalty kicks which calmed their frustrations. This was a team who really came to play a role in the African competition with their long time absense.
