Kenyans left no chance for their competitor in the half marathon in Lisbon. Bernard Koech in the category of men, and Edna Kiplagat, in the category of women have obtruded on the run

Bernard Koech crossed the finish line in 59′ 54″. The Kenyan athlete was alone during the last 15 kilometers to finally relegate his runner and fellow Peter Some to 27 seconds and the Ethiopian Abera Kuma to 1 minute 15 seconds.
