Following the death last Saturday of the former coach of the national football team and a member of the glorious team of the FLN, Abdelhamid Kermalil , the CAF President Issa Hayatou expressed hese condolences to the bereaved family.

“The CAF and his President Issa Hayatou learned with great emotion and sadness the death on April 13 of an Algerian football monument, Mr. Abdelhamid Kermali at the age of 81 years in Setif. The former player of the football team FLN (1958) and former coach of the national team had offered the 1990 Afcon Cup to the Fennecs, “wrote Issa Hayatou in a message transmitted by the CAF. The late player and coach was buried Sunday at Sétif.
