Europe Boxing: Carl Froch ” I’ll end Groves’ career”

carlfroch_1515247aExpected on November 23 at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester to challenge unbeaten George Groves ( reigning Commonwealth titleholder in the super middleweight division) for the WBA and IBF titles, Carl Froch (three time world champion professional boxer, unified IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion, and former two-time WBC super-middleweight champion) has vowed he will end the career of the 25-year-old on Saturday night.

The Nottingham man dished out a brutal stoppage loss to Lucian Bute last year, another undefeated fighter, and he intends to destroy Groves’ confidence with a similar knockout defeat.

“I’ve got George Groves on Saturday, it’s a big fight and these two world titles mean everything to me,” Froch told Sky Sports News.

“I’m taking it very, very seriously and George Groves is in a world of trouble, and he’s going to get an absolute shock on Saturday night. Not only am I going to beat him, I’m going to beat him in spectacular fashion and potentially end his career.

“He’s not going to see that one coming, because there are a lot of fighters that I’ve fought that are unbeaten, before I fight them and they don’t want to come back to the ring, they don’t want to fight again.

“We’ll see how George Groves comes back from this loss, but it’s going to be a devastating defeat for him.”
