Africa Justin Shaibu : Brentford FC releases the Ghanaian striker

Brentford FC has released Danish-born Ghanaian striker, Justin Kwabena Shaibu. The player thus put an end to his four-year stay at the club.

Shaibu joined the English Championship in 2016 from Danish outfit HB Koge and struggled to make it into the first team.

He made only 10 appearances and scored once as he was loaned twice to get more playing time.

The 22-year-old spent the 2019/20 season on loan at National League side Boreham Wood where he played 30 games and scored five goals. He has thus helped his club to finish 5th on the league table with 60 points.

Stoke City and Derby County have been linked with a summer move for the youngster as they believe he has the potential to develop into a great player in future.

Born in the Danish capital of Copenhagen to Ghanaian parents, Shaibu has represented Denmark at the youth levels (U-17, U-18 and U-20). He is however still eligible to play for the Black Stars.
