Africa Matteo Ahlinvi : Nîmes promotes the young Franco-Beninese

Future is becoming bright for Mattéo Ahlinvi. The player made some appearances in the Coupe de la Ligue and in the Coupe de France. The Franco-Beninese then after signed his first professional lease at Nîmes.

The information was relayed by the club on its Twitter account on Wednesday. Ahlinvi, former player of Guimgamp, arrived at the Crocos in August 2019, signs his first professional contract. His good performance as a reserve team was the direct result of this signature. He made his debut with the first team on 29th October 2019 against RC Lens in Coupe de la Ligue. The Twitter account reads:

Nîmes Olympique is proud and happy to announce the signing of Matteo Ahlinvi’s first professional contract.

Arrived in August 2019 from Guingamp, he regularly participated in training of the pros last season

Playing the defensive midfielder position, the 20-year-old should be an integral part of the professional group. And he will play Ligue 1 matches in order to quickly progress.

French international U19, Mattéo Ahlinvi will have to make the choice in the years to come. He will have to choose between his native country, France and the country of his origin, Benin as sporting nationality. His country of origin called his brother Joris Ahlinvi to play for the Ecureuils.
