Deprived from competitions since the Covid-19 outbreak, footballers let themselves go. This is probably the case of Bourama Doumbia. The Malian footballer has taken bed after being wounded by bullets.

According to reports, Doumbia was hit in a political demonstration in Bamako. In recent days, the Malian population has been contesting President Ibrahima Boubacar Keita. But the latter is hanging to power.

From what he said, he would have just gone out to witness what was happening in the street when he accidently received an errant bullet in the thigh. And at the same time, his junior brother died in the same situation as reported by his former club, Djoliba Athletic Club.

Doumbia is an international U23. He was at the AFCON of the category in December 2019 in Egypt. He is however feeling better, according to Bavieux Touré, president of the Femafoot.
