Premier Soccer League Thembikosi Lorch and Justin Shonga excluded by Orlando Pirates

Thembikosi Lorch and Justin Shonga

Thembikosi Lorch and Justin Shonga will have to pay for their misbehavior as Orlando Pirates announced sanction for both players following a breach of team’s protocol.

Lorch and Shonga went beyond Pirates’ sanitary measures as they breached Buccaneers’ protocol. However, despite the fact that they have been excluded for Tuesday’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns, they will have to undergo further suspension.

Indeed, Pirates announced that both players are required to undergo two COVID-19 tests that should be negative. Before they can be granted the opportunity to return to collective activities with the team. A very sad return to action for the two forwards of Soweto giants.

Justin Shonga

“Thembinkosi Lorch and Justin Shonga have been excluded from the squad that reported for the BSE bubble on Sunday following a breach of the team’s protocols.” Orlando Pirates wrote in their official website.

“All players have been educated, and are constantly reminded, of their responsibilities as public servants and role models.

It is our role and duty to ensure that all members of this organisation are fully compliant and aware of the measures that are in place.”

“Both players will be afforded the opportunity to return to play once the disciplinary processes have been finalised.

Mr. Lorch and Mr. Shonga will also be required to undergo two COVID-19 tests, which both must be negative, as per the BSE protocols dictate, before they resume any club activities.”

Thembikosi Lorch and Justin Shonga are then punished for having disobeyed to team measures to ensure players’ health.
