“Great team work guys with the first victory of the season 💛💚💪.”

Andrei Girotto opened scoring for Nantes in the 11th minute before Imran Louza spot kick in the 27th minute gave the home team a 2-0 led going to the second half.

Nantes were then reduced to 10-men in the 49th minute after Louza fouled Lucas Deaux.

The referee had shown him a yellow card but after reviewing  VAR, he decided to change it to a straight red card.

Zindedine Ferhat pulled one back for Nimes in the 57th minute but Nantes held on to their lead.

Reacting after the game, Nantes manager Christian Gourcuff said the red card on Louza almost ruined their game.

“We have the impression of reliving things we experienced last year.

“There are 2 matches. A clear progression in verticality.

“We can regret a lack of control in the holding of the ball.

” But we can score a third goal without there being anything to complain about.

“In the second half, it is the disaster scenario with the expulsion of Louza, the goal came from elsewhere from Ferhat and the expulsion of Fabio to finish at 9.

“There was a lot of generosity and self-sacrifice. But the second half was cut short.

“Our game needs speed and space. We have interesting offensive arguments.

” Today, we don’t. didn’t do a lot of passes because we quickly had the solution.

“Randal brings us this generosity, movement and depth.

“There are still some technical errors, but he is an interesting and promising young player.

“This match shows the way we are looking for.

“We need depth, movement.

“We have this ability to hurt the opponent.

“We must now associate it with more control when we do not have the ball.

“We showed technical quality in the first half and solidarity in the second half.

“I found the atmosphere in the stadium very positive, very understanding also depending on the circumstances of the match.

“For the players, this is an asset.

“We heard the spectators.

“I think it was alive in the gallery, even if it is still missing.”

Moses and his teammates next game will be against Henry Onyekuru’s Monaco.
