While under contract until 2022 with Young Boys Bern, Roger Assalé signed a 4-year contract with DFC0 this Saturday. On loan last year to Spanish club Deportivo Leganès (18th in La Liga), the Ivorian-trained player has twice won the Swiss league with Young Boys. He scored 12 goals in 42 games.

Peguy Luyindula, the sports director of the DFCO considers him as an excellent reinforcement. “Roger is a striker capable of evolving in the center or on the sides. He is technical, fast, keen with large game volume. He will add weight to the forward and he has experience in big games.”

Roger Assalé, winner of the 2015 African Nations Cup with Ivory Coast, has 20 selections with the Elephants. He should be lined up this Sunday, 23 September at Gaston Gérard for hosting Brest.
