The coach of the Senegalese women’s basketball team, in preparation with the lionesses, Moustapha Gaye reveals the goals for Afrobasket 2021.

For the Afrobasket 2021 playoffs, Moustapha Gaye started a training camp with the lioness basketball players on 1 October. According to the coach of the Senegalese women’s basketball team, the main goal is to reassure the players. Also build their confidence in order to achieve a positive result. And that’s what was done this week.

The sessions take place at the Marius Ndiaye Stadium in Dakar. A first one since the suspension of sports activities related to the covid-19 pandemic. The boss of the Lionesses seems satisfied with the first part of the preparations.

“We have started work this week. This work will lead us to an Afrobasket 2021 that will be very complicated. But we have confidence in the players, the staff, the federation and the state. And if we all converge, we can achieve a positive result.” Said Moustapha Gaye declared to Senego.

“For an internship that will last 3 weeks or 1 month, there is satisfaction and game to improve for some players.” He added.
