Top News El Haddadi Ready To Represent Morocco Despite Bureaucratic Process

Sevilla forward Munir El Haddadi said he will not give up on his quest to represent the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Africa Top Sports reports.

El Haddadi was handed his first senior international call up by Morocco ahead of the friendly against Senegal.

But in a twist of fate, the forward faced a clearance issue from FIFA and will not be able to play again for his fatherland.

The forward had featured in a qualifier for Spain U21 and despite the new FIFA rule, he is facing challenges to make his dream come true.

He trained with the Moroccan senior national team who will play Senegal in Rabat later today but will not feature in the game.

After learning of the bureaucratic decision that is stalling his debut, he took to social media to commit his future to Morocco.

He wrote, “I do not give up and I will continue working to wear this shirt and represent the Moroccan team! 😉.”

In another development, La Liga side Sevilla has confirmed that the forward will return to the club after he was denied international clearance to play for Morocco.

Sevilla in a statement via its official website said the forward will join the rest of his teammates not on international duty on Monday.

It reads as follows ;

Munir El Haddadi, called up by Morocco for two friendly matches, will return to Spain after learning he will not be able to make his debut yet due to bureaucratic problems.

“As a result, Sevilla FC has asked for the player to return and he will return to training on Monday with the rest of the team when they come back from their three days off.”
