Alexander Djiku honoured his first selection with Ghana. A first one that ended in a crushing defeat (3-0) against Mali in a friendly match yesterday. This misadventure did not prevent him of his great feelings having made his debut with the Black Stars.
After a few training sessions, Djiku has already seduced Ghana coach Charles Akonnor. He the Strasbourg defender start in his first selection. Despite the defeat, the Montpellier native is delighted for his choice to play for his home country.
“Honoured to be part of the Black Stars for the first time and to play for my country of origins. Let’s go!” He posted on his Twitter account.
At 26, Alexandre Djiku will probably be one of the backbones of the Ghanaian selection in the coming years.
