King Faisal Football Club owner, Alhaji Grusah, has stressed that Asante Kotoko is the pioneer of match-fixing in Ghana. According to the veteran football administrator, the Porcupine Warriors club started match-fixing as far back as 1969. And the club has in the process pushed a lot of clubs to relegation.

“I can emphatically say the First club to involved in fix matching scandal in Ghana is Asante Kotoko 1969. And I don’t care they can banish me from Kumasi and some of the fans are villagers.” Alhaji Grusah revealed to Ashh FM in an interview on Wednesday.

“Asante Kotoko has helped push a lot of clubs to relegations. Kotoko started playing fix matches in 1969. Teams like Conner stone went to relegations when Kotoko played a fixed match between Asanteman Fc in 1969. And that is what they want to do to us by taking away the player that will help us to a team that is not in Kumasi“. He continued.
