Egyptian Premier League Mahmoud Wadi Joined PYramids FC From Al Masry On Four-Year Deal

Mahmoud Wadi has been one of the Egyptian Premier League’s most prolific strikers since his arrival in Egypt from Jordan’s Al Ahli in July 2018. 19 goals and 10 assists in 75 games across all competitions for Al Masry was his record in Port-Said. Helping the club reach the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals on his debut season.

However, the Palestinian forward opted to leave the team to take part in the continental competitions, and therefore agreeing to join Pyramids FC.

Wadi put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract, that will keep him with Pyramids FC until the summer of 2024.

He becomes Pyramids’ fourth summer signing after deals for Ramadan Sobhi, Ahmed Fathi, and Sherif Ekramy. As the club eyeing to lift their first-ever trophy next season.

Wadi will not be registered as a foreign player. As the EFA allow Palestinians to be treated as Egyptians in the registration list.

Pyramids finished third in the Egyptian Premier League last season with 65 points. Qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup once again.

They dropped points towards the end of the Egyptian Premier League season. Thus missing out on the Champions League qualifying spot to Zamalek.

Pyramids will start the CAF Confederation Cup from the second preliminary round of the new season. The will face the winner between Lybia’s Al-Ittihad and Somalia’s Horseed SC.
