Nigeria Our opening game victory will motivate us against Rivers Angels- Ochei

Delta Queens head coach David Ochei says their win against Dreamstars Ladies will be the catalyst ahead of their Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Matchday 2 fixtures against Rivers Angels.

Delta Queens will on Wednesday travel to Port Harcourt to trade tackles with the reigning champions on Matchday 2 of the NWFL.

Ochei guided Delta Queens to a 4-1 win against Dreamstars Ladies in the opening game but is aware of the threat Rivers Angels will bring when both team clash.

The boss however refused to talk down on their opponent noting that all the teams are potential title contender.

He told Africatopsports.com in an exclusive interview that his players will give their best to ensure they give Rivers Angels a good fight building on their opening game resound win.

Even the team we defeated 4-1 are strong contender for the title, so there is no way looking down on any team.

” As you can see it’s almost a new team as 70 percent of our players have left the club and it seems we are rebuilding again.

“We will use our win over Dreamstars Ladies as a motivating factor heading to the game against Rivers Angels.

“Football is not all about what you have but your ability to make good use of it, so we are heading to the game in high hope.”

Delta Queens jointly top the NWFL table alongside Edo Queens following their 4-1 win in the opening game.

The winner of the 2020/2021 NWFL Premiership will go ahead to represent Nigeria in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League next year.
