The sad news come from Cairo. Reports say Al Ahly manager Pitso Mosimane has tested positive for Covid-19 and will be in self-isolation alongside his wife.
Pitso will not be on Al Ahly’s coaching bench next Friday for the matchday 2 of the Egyptian Premier League as confirmed by the club.
The highly-rated South African tactician have contracted coronavirus a day after his family came to visit him at training ground in Cairo.
“Al Ahly’s head coach Pitso Mosimane tested positive for COVID-19.” the club’s statement reads.
“Mosimane will be subjected to the home isolation regime, set by the Ministry of Health.
“As a result, Mosimane will now miss Friday’s league clash against Ghazl El Mahalla.“
Not only Pitso Mosimane will be in self-isolation, but also his wife and agent who also was controlled positive to the deadly virus.
In addition, Al Ahly won their first league game (3-1) to Misr El Makkasa last Sunday.
