Egypt Egyptian FA Avoiding EPL Overlapping With IHF World Championship

The Egyptian Premier League is overlapping with the IHF World Championship. In order to avoid this, The Egyptian FA (EFA) have decided to postpone a number of games from game-week 7.

Egypt is set to host the 2021 Handball World Championship between 14th and 31st January.

Several rounds of the tournament overlap with local football league games, which require several security measures. Meaning that they had to postpone a number of games.

Smouha were set to face Bank Al Ahly on the 12th. While Al Masry and Zamalek as well as Al Ahly and Entag El-Harby had their games on the same day.

Al Ahly and Smouha’s encounters were moved to the 15th while Zamalek’s game will play on the 16th.

Meanwhile, El-Gouna will host Ittihad of Alexandria on the 15th of January with ENPPI facing Ceramica Cleopatra one day later along with Pyramids who will host Arab Contractors.

Finally, Ittihad of Alexandria’s postponed game against ENPPI from match day 4 will be moved to the 18th. And Ismaily’s game against Arab Contractors from match day 6 will play on the same date.
