Nigeria NWFL: Dominance expresses disappointment over loss to Amazons

Delta Queens forward Odubanjo Dominance has rued her side 1-0 loss to Nasarawa Amazons in week 4 of the NWFL fixture in Lafia.
 
The five-time NWFL champions slipped to a consecutive away in a controversial goal scored in the 41st minute by Igboamala Chinyere.
 
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Africatopsports.com, Dominance who was nominated for the NWFL player of the month of December expressed displeasure over the outcome of the game.

“We were in camp training hard throughout the festive period we didn’t go for break and it really helped our performance in today’s game.

The former Jokodolu forward took the 2020/2021 NWFL season by storm netting three goals in three matches.
 
In her last two games, she failed to scored when asked what could have been the reason for the wait for another goal, she said;
 
 
By the grace God my next match against Bayelsa queens I will score goals.”
 
“But the focus is not on me but helping my club to get the result week in week out.
 
Asked whether Delta Queens have the chance of competing for the title this season.
 
“We have missed six points and our target now is to make up for them in our previous games.
 
“For the fact that we have lost two away games, doesn’t rule us out as possible contenders for the title just like every other club.
 
” We know the importance the title will be to the club and our fans, so we are definitely not relenting on our oars.
