Nigeria Golden Eaglets are on the verge of exciting the WAFU B U-17 tournament following a 1-1 draw against Ghana on Saturday.
 
 
The Golden Eaglets suffered a 1-0 loss against Cote D’Ivoire in the opening game of the tournament.
 
 
Fatai Amoo and his lads knew only a win will guarantee them the chance of reaching the semi-final.
 
 
The Nigeria junior cadets side went into the field of play with the intention of getting the maximum points.
 
 
In the early minutes, Emmanuel Michael missed a begging chance that could have got them in front from six yards.

The wasteful Golden Eaglets failure to convert their chances saw them head to the dressing room with scoreline 0-0.
 
 
Joseph Arumala converted from the spot in the 77th minute after to give Nigeria the hope of their first win.
 
 
But with six minutes left in regulation time, Ghana equalized from the spot to share the spoils.
 
 
With the current standing, if Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire end their game in a draw or a win for Ghana, Nigeria will be out of the competition.
