Guinea go into Tuesday’s CHAN opener against Namibia in a confident mood after all the Syli National players tested negative for Covid-19.
Guinea football federation Facebook page says their players underwent two tests (TDR and PCR) on Sunday, January 17 and also they came out negative.
“To this end, Guinea was congratulated on Monday by the CAF officials present at the technical meeting of Guinea vs Namibia, which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19 in Limbé. They urged Guinea to continue this momentum,” reads the statement.
Guinea has since patted itself and team doctor Dr. Lancinet Keita for doing a good work to protect the players from getting infected.
The two teams meet in a Group D clash at the Omnisports Stadium in Limbé whereas Tanzania and Zambia face off in another contest for the group.
Guinea coach Kanfory Bangoura will be hoping for a win against the coach Bobby Samaria-led Namibia.
