News Nwfl Week 6: Delta Queens pick first away point in Lokoja

The Nigerian Women Football league (NWFL) Premiership the on wednesday got into action with Delta Queens Pulling a barren draw to record her first away point for the season. 
 
 
The Visiting Delta Queens came into the match day 6 encounter having defeated league topper Bayelsa Queens while the host came in with confidence following a win in their match day 5 encounter with FC Robo. 
 
The two sides took time out to size each other with the visitors, Delta Queens calling the shorts more often.

An Amarachi and Odubanjo Dominance led Delta Queens forward  however failed to put the ball across the net of their host before they were substituted by new girls Abbey Peace and Grace Obi in the second half. 
 
The second half produced more action and scoring chances as both teams came out smoky but with no goal however to compensate for their efforts as the game ended in a goalless draw. 
 
However, the pendulum swung, it was the first point away for Delta Queens.
 
They were cheered all through by Chairman Sports Commission,  Delta State,  Chief Tonobok Okowa.
 
 
 
 
Meanwhile,  in other NWFL Matchday  6 games, another Delta based side Royal Queens suffered a 3-1 defeat away to FC Robo.
 
Pelican Stars picked all three points away to Dreamstars Ladies. 
 
Edo Queens Unbeaten run ended  at the Samson Siasia Stadium with a 3-2 loss to Bayelsa FC.
 
Rivers Angels won 2- 1 against Osun Babes at the UNIPORT Sports Complex.
 
Sunshine Queens defeated visiting Ibom Angels1-0. 
 
Nasarawa Amazons came from behind to register a  2-1 victory over Abia Angels.
