The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has decided to suspend the Chadian Football Association (FTFA) due to government interference.

On March 10 the Chadian Ministry of Youth and Sports decided to disassemble the Chadian FA due. The decision was due to their alleged poor management and bad communication.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) had banned the country from participating in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers due to the government’s actions. Now, FIFA have followed suit and decided to also suspend them until the government treats the FTFA as an independent institution.

This ban means that Chad will not receive funds from football’s main governing body. And they won’t have authorization to participate in any official competitions.
