Africa Soccer CAF LEAGUE : Mazembe bow out with win over Al Hilal

The Democratic Republic of the Congo giants, TP Mazembe, have bowed out of the CAF Champions League on a happy note.

Mazembe registered their first win of the group stages of the continental league after coming from behind to beat Al Hilal of Sudan 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Eid Mugadama put Al Hilal ahead in the third minute.

However, Outara handed the hosts a life line when he scored an own goal in the 18th minute.

Mazembe finally went ahead with 14 minutes to full time through Tshibangu’s fine strike.

Mazembe missed two clear scoring chances in the 40th minute.

Al Hilal’s Mohamed Youssef also had his moment but Mazembe keeper Sylvain Gbouhou saved the situation.

In the end, Mazembe finished the campaign with five points in the group.
