Nkana FC boosted their chances of progressing in the CAF Confederation Cup after beating Tanzania’s Namungo FC 1-0 on Sunday.
Fred Tshimenga scored the only goal of the match after an assist from Harrison Chisala in the 71st minute.
The group D qualifying match took place at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Nkana completed a double over the Tanzanians who also lost 1-0 in the first leg.
Nkana now have six points at par with Egyptians, Pyramids FC who were taking on Raja Casablanca as we went to press.
Nkana are on third place in the group on goal difference.
Nkana host Pyramids on 21st April then face Raja a week later in Morocco.
