Foot Africa Ghana Ministry Of Youth And Sports Has Approved Fans Return To Stadia

Ghana Ministry of Youth and Sports has given the approval for fans to return to the stadia during matchdays.

Although fans were allowed to troop to match venues in some games of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League, the Ghana FA later ordered that matches be played behind closed doors due to the hike in Coronavirus cases in the country.

After several months, the country’s football governing body and the Sports Ministry has reached a consensus for fans to return to the stadia.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports is delighted to announce that with immediate effect, approval is granted for football fans (25%) to return to the various League centres to watch both domestic and International competitions subject to observing all the national Covid-19 Protocols and the GFA Matchday COVID-19 Protocols.” Part of a press release from the Ministry has said on Friday.

Although supporters are not expected to be admitted to the stadia this weekend, they should be allowed to watch their teams on matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League.
