Chelsea Ndidi, Iheanacho Join List Of Nigeria Players To Win FA Cup

Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi has joined the list of Nigeria players t9 have lifted the FA Cup following Leicester City 1-0 win over Chelsea.

Both players featured for the Foxes with Ndidi playing full time while Iheanacho was substituted out in the 67th minute.
Both players have now joined Daniel Amokachi, Celestine Babayaro, Kanu Nwankwo, John Utaka, Mikel Obi, Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses who have lifted the trophy.
It was indeed an epoch making day for Leicester City who ended their hoodoo in the FA Cup.

The Foxes game against Chelsea was their fifth appearance in the the FA Cup final and their first since 1969.
The Foxes have lost all four previous finals, the most appearances a side has made in the competition’s showcase without ever winning the trophy.
Leicester City are now the 44th different side to win the FA Cup, and the first first-time winners of the competition since Wigan Athletic in 2013.
Youri Tielemans’ 63rd minute long range goal was all Leicester needed at Wembley Stadium to claim the title in game that was dominated by Chelsea.
Tielemans became the third Belgian t0 score a goal in the FA Cup final after Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne.
He is also the first Leicester City player to score in an FA Cup final since Ken Keyworth in 1963 vs Manchester United.
