Algerian players abroad Algerian Winger Rachid Ghezzal Admits He Doesn’t Know His Future But Happy At Besiktas

Algerian winger Rachid Ghezzal admits that he does not know whether he will stay with Turkish giants Besiktas. But insists he is happy at the Istanbul club.

Ghezzal, 29, is on loan at the Black Eagles from Premier League Leicester City. The former Lyon, Monaco and Fiorentina player has excelled with Besiktas. He scored 8 goals and 17 assists from 31 Super Lig appearances. He was a major drive force as the club won their 16th Super Lig title, and a first since 2017.

He also helped the club win their 10th Turkish Cup earlier this week, thanks to a 2-0 triumph over Antalyaspor on Tuesday evening. Ghezzal provided the assist for the second goal, scored by Valentin Rosier.

I’m happy, we’ve had a great season.” Said the Algerian DZFoot after the Cup final.

Since my arrival, I have felt in a family environment. I did my best on the pitch with the support of my teammates. Thank you all, I hope it continues.”

Ghezzal is set to return to parent club Leicester at the end of the 2020-21 season, where he still has a year left on his contract.

I do not know my future, I am happy here.” Explained the winger.

I want this story to continue.

“There is the Champions League. There is also Leicester City. Let’s live in the present moment for now.

“Let’s celebrate the supporters. We succeeded without them. But they supported us. We hope to celebrate these successes with them.” He added.
