With Lionel Messi’s contract set to expire at the end of this month, his former teammate Samuel Eto’o revealed what will convince the six-time Ballon d’Or winner to extend his contract.
Leo Messi continues to take his time before making a decision over his future despite the efforts of Barcelona President Joan Laporta.
The 33-year-old is currently with Argentina national team as they are competing in Copa America.
However, fans are still waiting and Eto’o has shown what Barca board need in order to see Lionel Messi stay at Camp Nou.

“I know that Messi loves Barcelona, that he has no problems, and that it is not a question of money,” he told AS.
“The only thing [Messi needs] is the project, which has to be reliable, and I know that Joan [Laporta, Barcelona president] is working on that.
“He has to enjoy the time he has left, football owes it to him, not just Barca. He has given us everything, he has to enjoy it and win titles.
“Messi is god and when you have a god, you just have to admire him.”
Eto’o scored 130 goals and provided 40 assists in 199 games with Barca
