Red Bull Salzburg head coach Matthias Jaissle admitted on Wednesday that Zambian wonderkid Patson Daka is likely to leave the club four years after his arrival.

Daka, 22, has had a fine campaign with the Austrian side helping them in clinching the league title with his 27 goals and 7 assists in 28 appearances.

His outstanding performances has mounted interested from all over Europe with Liverpool and Chelsea being the frontrunners in the past to land him.

However, things have changed so far with the key being the project presented to the player as he Leicester City convinced him.

Reports claim that both Patson Daka and Leicester have already agreed personal terms with the deal set to be announcement in the next few days.

And with the 2017 CAF Youth Player of Year being closer to the King Power Stadium, his manager at RB Salzburg could do nothing but to admit that he is closer than ever to a move away from the Red Bull Arena as he did not show up for pre-season camp.

“The transfer has not been finalised (sic) yet, but it strongly looks like [Patson] Daka will leave us,” Jaissle told Leicester Mercury.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old forward will sign a long term contract which will see him linked with the Foxes until June 2026.

Daka is then set to bring more striking options to Brendan Rodgers next season as Leicester will play Europa League football once again.

Additionally he is seen as the perfect replacement of Jamie Vardy whose age (34) shows he is getting towards the end of his career despite his scoring abilities which are still enormous.
