CAF Champions League Kaizer Chiefs Making Contractual Plans Ahead Of Their Historical CAF CL Final

CAF Champions league final will have in clash Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian giants Al Ahly on 17th July. However, Chiefs have 10 players who will be out of contract on June 30. And Kaizer Chiefs have put plans in place to ensure they have the strongest possible squad available.

According to reports, the Glamour Boys are contemplating offering short-term contracts to a number of players to make sure they are available for the continental showdown next month.

The likes of Willard Katsande, Bernard Parker, Philani Zulu and Bruce Bvuma – all who have been key in Chiefs’ CAF run, will see their deals with the club come to an end. And by law, they need to have valid contracts to play.

These arrangements could also benefit Chiefs in the long run. Not only will they have a full squad for arguably the biggest game in the club’s history. But it also gives coach Stuart Baxter more time to look at the players he wants to keep at the club next season.

Chiefs faced a similar issue in the PSL bio-bubble last year, where the club handed three of their first team players in Siphelele Ntshangase, Philani Zulu and Brylon Petersen one-year deals, that saw them complete in the remainder of the 2019/20 season.
