Holders Orlando Pirates will open the MTN8 quarterfinal action with Swallows FC, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced.

“All four #MTN8 quarterfinals will be played on the weekend of 14 and 15 August 2021,” PSL website indicates.

Therefore, the clash between Pirates and Swallows will take place on August 14 at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.

In other games scheduled for the same day, Golden Arrows will lock horns with SuperSport United at Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaZulu Natal.

The following day on August 15 2021, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs will slug it out at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

On the same day, AmaZulu FC will host Cape Town City at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Pirates won the cup after beating 10-man Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 in a final played at Moses Mabhida Stadium on December 12 2020.

Pirates are the 10-time winners of MTN8 whose inaugural edition is said to have taken place in 1972.
