Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey will be out of action for the coming three weeks as announced by Premier League side Arsenal on Monday.
The 27-year old had to go off limping in their pre-season friendly against Chelsea last week after a tackle from Loftus-Cheek.
With examinations been done, results are not good at all for the Black Stars midfielder who will be in the sidelines for nearly a month.
“Right ankle. Thomas sustained an injury to ligaments in his right ankle during the friendly match against Chelsea last Sunday”, Gunners wrote in a statement.
“Thomas continues to be assessed and is expected to be back in training in approximately three weeks.”
Thomas Partey has been struggling since joining the Emirates Stadium outfit from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid last season for a €45m transfer fee. This injury is new setback to his adaptation into the English top-flight.
