Tottenham Hotspur have just announced the sacking of their head coach Nuno Espirito Santo as the club is going through a poor slump of results.

Nuno Santo could not survive the heavy loss (0-3) to Manchester United last week-nd in Premier League in which his side failed to register a shot on target.

Spurs are currently 8th on Premier League table with 15 points out of 10 games played.

The club board has then decided to sack the former Wolverhampton coach along with his staff.

“The Club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties”, Tottenham wrote on their official website.

“I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision”, the club’s Managing Football director Fabio Paratici said.

Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

The London outfit added that the announcement of a new coach will be made in due course.
