AFCON AFCON: Super Eagles To Depart For Garoua On Wednesday

The Super Eagles will depart for Garoua, Cameroon on Wednesday ahead of the 2021 African Cup of Nations AFCON.

The team will depart Abuja from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on board Air Peace, the official flight of the Super Eagles.

Following the arrival of Wilfred Ndidi, Keelchi Iheanacho, William Troost-Ekong among others, the number of players in camp are 23 as at the time of this report.

Only five players are expected latest tonight before the team departure and Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen has revealed if Odion Ighalo doesn’t arrive on Tuesday evening, he would be replaced.

The team trained on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Stadium ahead of the Cameroon.

The Super Eagles will open their 2021 AFCON campaign next Tuesday against seven-time champions Egypt.

Sudan and Guinea Bisau are the other teams in Group D.
