Nigeria NWFL:DELTA QUEENS OFF TO PORT HARCOURT AHEAD OF RIVERS ANGELS GAME

Delta Queens on Tuesday departed for Port Harcourt ahead of their Nigeria Women Football League(NWFL) game against Rivers Angels in a Match day 9 encounter in the NWFL 2021-2022 season.

The encounter is the reversed leg between
both sides with the first leg in MD1 ending in a goalless draw.

Ahead of the encounter the Captain of the side, Ihuoma Onuegbu in a chat with the team’s media, said the team spirit is high and the girls are more determined to ensure all is done to get the best of result in Port Harcourt.

It is another match day and one we have been looking forward to”

For us it is not necessarily about who our opponent is at the moment, we are taking every game one step at a time as they come”

Delta Queens, yet to loss a game this season and are second on the Group B table.

Their last game saw them picked a 2-0 win against Abia Angels at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

The Pearls must keep up the momentum in a very tight Group B as they are on the same points with FC Robo Queen’s but slightly on goal difference.
