African players abroad Thomas Partey wins first-ever Arsenal Player of Month Award

Ghanaian midfield workhorse Thomas Partey has won the Arsenal Player of the month February 2022 Award.

Our Ghana international midfielder claims the award for the first time after a string of fine displays,” Arsenal website reports.

“Congratulations to Thomas Partey, who has been named as the Arsenal.com Player of the Month for the very first time! Our Ghanaian midfielder was in outstanding form throughout February, as we won all three of our Premier League matches.

“Thomas started the month with a typically combative performance in our midfield as we won 1-0 at Wolves, and helped shore things up as we were reduced to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining.”

Partey was nominated for the award alongside Brazilian defender Gabriel, Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard and English winger Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal fans voted via the club’s website to determine the winner.

During that time, Arsenal won three consecutive games to boost top-four position hopes on the log table.
