Egyptian Players abroad UCL: The Good Thing Is We Still Qualified- Salah

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah decided to bask in the euphoria of their qualification to the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League despite losing 1-0 to Inter Milan.

The Red were stunned by the visitors who had a fantastic performance at Anfield as Lautaro Martinez scored the solitary goal of the game.

Liverpool still made it to the next stage as they reached the quarter-final of the competition for the fourth time in five campaigns.

The Egyptian in his post-match interview said the most important thing was they qualified.

It’s always important to win the game.

“Tonight we hit the woodwork three times and missed a lot of chances.

“That can happen in football. The good thing is we still qualified.

“Everyone wants to win the Champions League and the Premier League, we will fight for both and let’s see.”

“I hit the post twice, it’s okay, maybe in the next game I will score three.

“I don’t mind so much as long as the team goes through.

“We lost the game and maybe that will give us a push.

“Maybe in the back of our min, ds we were over-confident. It’s a good game for us to learn from.”

Speaking on the quality of Inter Milan, Salah described them a ms a tough opponent.

“They were a tough team, even in the away game they were very good, though we managed to win that.

” Today we struggled in the beginning.

“We managed to hold the ball up more in the second half.

“The most important thing is ware e qualified. Hopefully, we’ll be better in the next game.”
