Leicester City forward Ademola Lookman has expressed his delight after making his debut with the Super Eagles in the World Cup playoff clash between Ghana and Nigeria on Friday.

The 24-year old received a Nigeria call-up for the first time in his career this month.

Despite having the possibility to play for England as he has both citizenships, the Leicester City star does not think twice before accepting Naija’s call.

And he was given 15 minutes against the Black Stars at Baba Yara Stadium as he subbed on Simon Moses.

Super Eagles came back home with a goalless draw and Lookman expects to have his first win wearing Nigeria outfit in the reverse leg.

“Extremely proud and grateful to have made my Nigeria Super Eagles debut. Thank you God for the opportunity, it means everything to put on the shirt and represent my country. See you on Tuesday. We need your support”, Ademola Lookman wrote on his Twitter account.

Super Eagles will not lack support as NFF has got clearance to have 60,000 fans at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday against Ghana Black Stars (17:00 GMT).
